On entering The Shadow's Pinnacle you will find two chambers, on the left and the right, which contain gigantic Shadow Pinnacle Guardian Sarcophagi. Opening each sarcophagus will release a Guardian Executioner plus a large number of Knights and Angels. Both Executioners must be killed to open the gate to the top.
After passing through the gate, you will see what appears to be a large unmoving statue, surrounded by Angels, Knights and Phantasms. If you attack them, the statue will not move but will continually spawn more of them. The statue is actually The Queen herself, and you must attack it to activate it. Once activated the Queen attacks mercilessly with a horrendous knockback attack that can be fatal in a single blow.
It does no good to try to remove the supports first. You must go for the Queen herself. She will dealout massive damage so be prepared to spam pots. However, most classes can be successful just by standing up to her and continuing to attack.
A good group can do well here, although while the "meat shields" are attacking the Queen, the rangers and mages will be harassed by her supports so they cannot just stand back and blast. She is totally immune to shadow and most of her supports are highly resistant to it so Shadow Lightning does little good here. Divine spells and attacks seem to hurt her the most. Some players have had great success by using Melee Reflection here. See Melee Reflect Fighter.
There is lots of good loot here, both from the Executioners as well as the Boss. Farming is not too popular here because of the time involved in opening the gate and the difficulty of the Boss.--Catwalksbyhimself 20:28, 20 June 2008 (CEST)
- Single players can also deal with her by picking up a henchman (nudge nudge wink wink) and also use a hench-spell (such as My Flaming Buddy or Chill Bill). If your luck is right, they'll go after the supports leaving the Queen to you. .--Black_Tom 15:07, 03 Oct 2008 (EST)

Balzack, Boss of Balzack's Burrow

On entering Balzack's Flame, you will see a barrier in front of you. In order to release the barrier you must first clear four side rooms. Each side room contains a sepulchre. You should activate Ice Resistance and if you have it cast Monster Bait before approaching the sepulchre. A horde of monsters will be released, mostly ice and poison, including Dread the Ice Mantis and other Champions. As you are fighting them, an Ice Portal will also open, and will continually spawn more ice monsters. It is important to destroy the portal in each room as quickly as possible, and then go for the mini-boss. Good loot will be dropped. ** Note: Some people farming for loot will leave the portal open and just kill more mobs for more loot. The portal will respawn if you take too long to kill the mini-boss. This can be useful for farming also.
After all four rooms have been cleared, the barrier will open to Balzack and his supports, all Poison monsters, most of them Champions. It is vital to activate Poison Resistance or Poison Ward before facing them. Some people have successfully drawn off a portion of the mobs into the anteroom and fought them separately, but it can be a risky maneuver. One of the mobs will be a poison Oracle healer, sometimes named Ferris the Purger. She will heal the others, especially the boss, until she is slain. At some point a Poison Portal will also open and disgorge poison mobs continuously, including possibly more healers. On some occasions a second portal has opened when the first was destroyed.
The basic mantra for defeating Balzack is Healer, Portal, Boss. This can be a very difficult fight, and a group positively must work together to be successful. If they attack concertedly in the order given, it will make things much easier. If the group runs around the room targeting different mobs, the healer will heal the boss, the portal will spew more mobs, and things can quickly get out of hand. Destroy the healer, close the portal, and then it is just a matter of constant attack to dispatch the Boss. Massive amounts of loot will be dropped.
After the room is cleared you can enter Balzack's Treasure Room where there are six Treasure Chests.

- Note: The following tip was added, then removed by the original poster who expressed dissatisfaction with its completeness. I have reposted it here because I believe that it has good material, but have withheld the posters name because I do not have his permission. I hope he will return to take credit for it.--Catwalksbyhimself 17:28, 7 September 2008 (CEST). -- A simple tactic for defeating him that can save you a large amount of your loot in pots is to use a lure. This involves all but one of your party waiting in one the two rooms on the side the entrance portal is on. The remaining person (preferably with a high enough agility to run back) then goes past the statue that stands in front of where the barrier had previously been. Once this person knows that Balzack and the monsters around him are lured they then run back to the room where the other players are standing. When everyone is safely on the mat in the room (Balzack cannot step on it because he ghosts and returns to his original position) you simply have to wait till Balzack is gone and then attack the healer before he too returns to his starting point. Variations of this include letting both Balzack and the healer go back then stepping off the mat so Balzack returns but the healer (because he is slower) stays where he returns to. Balzack may create a Poison Portal in the corridor outside of the room you lure him to but this can be quickly dealt with once the healer is dead. Once you've lured one or the other the mantra Healer, portal, Balzack applies. (Anonymous)
- Another tactic for doing balzack's flame, is to lower the difficulty before clicking on the various altars. Enter the dungeon on your selected difficulty, and once you have entered the dungeon switch difficulty to normal. All spawning creatures either from the altars or from portals shall be on Normal while Balzack and his crew will be on the higher difficulty you entered the dungeon with. -- Peklat
- Some players using this tactic first go up close to the barrier to make sure that Balzack and his guards have fully spawned at high diff. It is unclear whether this is actually necessary.--Catwalksbyhimself 19:04, 22 January 2009 (CET)

Ratsputin, Boss of Ratsputin's Gulag

| Divine Resist: | |
Ratsputin's Maximum Security Kremlin is an Ice Fields Layout. Behind a closed gate you can see various mobs waiting, mostly Ice based. But before you can open the gate you must dispose of three separate groups of monsters surrounding it.
Each group consists of Frostbitten Whisker Blaster, Whisker Seer, and Whisker Berserker Champions, as well as annoying bunches of Whisker Broodlings. They are fairly easy to handle. All of them seem to have low fire resist. There will also be one iVAN Champion with various extensions on the name. He is dangerous, not because he is difficult to handle, but because when he is killed, he spawns three iPrichniki minis of three different elements, and the minis are much tougher than the big guy! Usually it is best to leave killing him toward the end of the group. The last one to kill is the one labeled The Seer. When The Seer of the last group is killed the door opens and releases Ratsputin and his guards.
Ratsputin himself is a huge Whisker Seer. His exact spells are not completely known, and hopefully somebody can add them to this guide. He can generate a huge ghostly replica of himself. His guards are just like those described above.
When the Boss is killed, a teleporter opens to Ratsputin's Loot Room. There are six Treasure Chests there.
Strategy for this fight is pretty straight forward. Deal with each group one at a time, leaving iVAN and THE SEER til the last. When the final group's THE SEER is destroyed, Ratsputin and his guards will be a repeat of the same thing. There does not seem to be much healing to deal with here. It is pretty much just hack and blast until they are all cleared out.
This is a good dungeon for Bling Gnomes. A tactic for Bling Gnome owners is to dispatch the first group and feed the gnome, then move to the second opening, dispatch the second group, and pull the third group to the second opening, where Ratsputin will also emerge, so all the loot piles there. Some groups prefer to aggro the first two groups and pull them together to be fought all at once. It is apparently not possible to aggro all three groups together as they ghost out. The tactic for the biggest possible pile of loot is to run through the first group and pull to the second opening and fight both groups at once. Then the third group can be pulled back to that space and fought, and the gate will open releasing Ratsputin to the same place. This way all the loot will fall in that one opening and the gnome will have a good chance to poop a goodie.
Familiarly known as "Ratsy", this is a very popular place for farming by pretty high level groups, because of the massive amounts of loot dropped. Even at normal there is a lot of loot and some groups prefer to do it that way, moving quickly and resetting repeatedly. At INSANE! a group will take longer to finish the battle but will see huge loot drops.

Manglefeet's Lair is a Ruins Layout. There is a small area where you can regroup and activate resistances and buffs before engaging the mobs. The first group encountered consists of many Champion rated mobs, mostly Fire, Shadow and Poison as well as Manglefeet Fanatics. A particularly large Embercore Thornlash Champion is labeled "Security" and when he is killed the Security gate opens, releasing a group of Shadow and Poison mobs. A Fade Soldier Champion is the "Ticket Taker" who must be killed to open the Front Gate. The next group of mobs is mostly Shadow, and includes Manglefeet's Protege. When he is killed, the Arena gate opens. Standard tactics work fairly well here and the mobs have only normal resistances and few special spells.
All of these groups drop very good loot. In fact, some players, especially those of minimum level for this dungeon, may choose just to farm these three groups without going on to the Boss fight. Pulling all three groups to the entrance area will produce a massive pile of loot for the Bling Gnome, and he has a good chance to poop a goodie after digesting it.
The Arena gate is followed by a flight of stairs up, and then down to the sand of the Arena. There are a number of special features to this area. First is the fact that Mangelefeet himself will not come to the top of the stairs. Rather than charging into the arena and fighting the boss and all his minions, many groups will try to lure them to the stairs in small bunches. If Manglefeet comes with them, climbing to the top of the stairs will force him to retreat back to his starting point and the supports can be dealt with. Fire, Ice and Divine have been noted to be very effective at this fight. Another special point is that merely stepping on the sand activates "Eye of the Liger" which gives the character a substantial size bonus and 15% Attack and Defense bonuses. The catch is that the mobs get the same effect when they are on the sand. It is sometimes possible, however, to lure the mobs to the steps and let the character stand on the sand and thus gain the advantage.
Once most of the supports have been dealt with, the Boss can be attacked. This is likely to activate the statues around the sides of the arena. Manglefeet is totally immune to Shadow damage and also totally immune to melee reflection. Ray of Gosh works well against him as do Ice attacks. He has huge Endurance and takes a lot of damage. He has a devastating attack with his folding chair and can easily one shot even the strongest characters. The Token Vendors, the ones carrying flags, are able to heal the boss. In addition when he is nearly dead, a Groupie-type Hero named Empress Chynah, Manglefeet's Manager will activate and can heal him rapidly. She must be dispatched as soon as she activates, and will still probably heal the Boss at least once. When defeated, he and his minions drop good loot, sometimes rainbows.
After defeating Manglefeet, the battle is not over. Behind the arena is a corridor which leads to an exercise room. Around the room are dumbells, punching bags, etc, and each one will confer a temporary bonus if they can be reached before beginning to fight. This room is strangely reminiscent of the Room of Creation and the President of Manglefeet's Fan Club is a big brother of Rotgut. There are the Roadies and Groupies to deal with too. When the Groupies are about to be defeated they can summon theSpirit of Manglefeet who is tough but not nearly as tough as Mangelfeet himself. The loot drops in this room are only fairly good.
After clearing this room you can access the side treasure room. There are four chests and sometimes a Boss Chest here. At the end of the room is a teleporter which at this time leads back to Townston.
Thanks to CindyC and Godallmighty as well as DefenderOfFaith and FALLENANGELOFDARK for making many runs on Manglefeet to gather this information and help me learn!
