Treasure Chests

Treasure Chests can be found anywhere. There are usually 3 or 4 chests near to each other except for within Dew Valley, where chests only spawn 2 at a time. Chests drop Kings Coins, gold and Loot. Chests rarely drop grey items, usually greens and blues, occasionally yellows or purples. The size and shape of a normal chest does not seem to make any difference in what they drop; however, as of build 150, there are now special chests that drop specific types of items, as well as altars and weapon racks. Boss chests may spawn in the treasure room of a Boss lair.

Beyond Dew Valley you can accept Relic Quests from Tilles the Sellout. Relic chests are randomly created as special, and appear yellow rather than brown, but they can be any of the regular shapes. Mouseover will show Ancient Relic Chest. These chests may yield relics, but often they spawn a Guardian who must be fought to gain the Relic.
