Dew Valley Starting Area

DewvalleyOutpost
DewvalleyOutpost

This is the zone in which you first arrive into the game. It contains 9 NPC's (Non Player Characters), the entrance to Dew Valley Forest 1 and also an Obelisk. The 9 NPC’s are Helpful Noobosaur,Sir Lee of York, Deidre, Sir Prize the Kingdom Representative, Samford the Hermit and 3 Dungeon Runners in Diedre's Queue, Liza Beth, Kentucky Jim, Billy Ray.

All of the NPC's give out quests, most of which are designed to help the beginner find their way around the game. Samford the Hermit is also the merchant in Dew Valley, he sells potions, weapons, armour and waypoint scrolls and you can also sell any loot you find to him.

In the center of Dew Valley is an Obelisk. As you progress through the dungeon levels, passing through a portal will put a teleport link on the obelisk for that portal. Thus you can return to that level even if you sign off and back on. If you use a Waypoint Scroll in the dungeon, you can also use the Obelisk to return to that point. Eventually you will use this obelisk to take you to Townston, but for now you should stay in Dew Valley and get used to the game.

Dew Valley Quests

Throughout the game there are lots of Quests to be completed and they fall into different categories. Running through all these quests, starting with the Helpful Noobosaur, will be very useful to first-timers. Most of the new quests added to Dew Valley in Build 120 are designed to help beginners learn their way around the game. Other quests assign certain tasks to accomplish as you run the dungeon. Some of these quests are repeatable. You will receive gold and Kings Coins for completing the quests. This is one of the principal ways for a new character to accumulate wealth.

Dew Valley Forest

Dew Valley Forest is the first dungeon you will encounter. After you have performed several quests starting at the Noobosaur, you will eventually receive a quest that will require you to enter the Forest. The entrance is that large red glowing cave you will see in Dew Valley.

Dew Valley Forest Levels

Once you enter Dew Valley Forest through the entryway, you will proceed through three levels, with progressively stronger monsters. Each time you enter a new Level, you will find that level on the Obelisk next time you sign on. By using the Obelisk it is possible to go one level at a time through the Forest. At the end you will find the first Boss Lair, Rattle Tooth's Lair.

Dew Valley Forest Bestiary

There are 4 types of monsters in Dew Valley, the Whisker Ratling and the Dew Valley Wolf Pup in the beginning levels, and in addition the Whisker Blademaster and the Dew Valley Wolf as you go further into the forest. The Whisker Rattlings and Dew Valley Wolf Pups are the weaker enemies and are the most common enemy you encounter. The Blademasters and Wolves are more challenging. Occasionally you will encounter Champion or rarely a Hero. They are marked by swirling lights around their feet. They are stronger, harder to defeat, and drop better Loot. Dew Valley Rattle Tooth is the Boss of Dew Valley and will be found in Rattle Tooth's Lair.

Rattle Tooth's Lair

This is a small area with Whisker Broodlings and Whisker Blademasters. At the end, you will find the first Boss you will encounter, Dew Valley Rattle Tooth. Guarding Dew Valley Rattle Tooth are Rattle Tooth's Posse, consisting of Whisker Ratlings and Whisker Blademasters, as well as two large strong Wolves known as Rat's Best Friend. The Boss looks like a giant Broodling Hero. He is hard to kill but when you do he drops lots of loot!

On the wall you will see Rattle Tooth's Family Portrait which is a Quest object.
