Wishing Well

The Wishing Well sits at the top of Townston, near the Loremaster. Toss in King's Coins (1 if you're a member, 2 if you're not) and it hands something back. Paid tosses drop two items. The first toss on a character is free and only drops one. All of it is non-member, not soulbound, and at your current level. A 100 does not fish a 101 or 102. Those only come off mobs. That split is on Item Levels.

If the Well is ready it has a giant ! over it, same as a quest giver. If it is not, it looks like a rock. Thirty minutes between paid tosses.

Most of what comes out is yellow junk. Purples show up a lot. Rainbows are the rumor. Ninja and pirate gear only comes from here — ninja is purple, pirate rainbows are the mythic ones. Those names, the mouse ears, Charge!, and NC Hammer are on Well-Only Rainbows. A lot of the named boss lair pieces can fall out too, once you are high enough for that dungeon. Not every name from every lair.

Holiday pack names (Karl's 1st Edition look) and the snowman hats are a different pile. That split is on Holiday Rainbows.

The long version — the rolls, the 1-in-20, why your level changes which names can show, and why Insane does nothing — is Wishing Well Guide.

Odds

Dungeon loot percent does not apply. Two items is two shots.

Each itemAbout
Yellow leftovermost of the time

Extra Well bag (pirate, ears, Charge!, NC Hammer, some named boss pieces, books, gold brick)1 in 20
Ordinary rainbow (same names bosses drop)1 in 125

About 1 in 10 paid tosses show the extra bag at least once. About 1 in 63 show an ordinary rainbow at least once. 1 in 20 is the bag, not Squeaks.

First toss

One item, free. Extra bag is about 1 in 10 on that toss. The ordinary rainbow roll is the boss-corpse table: 1 in 200 below 90, 1 in 75 at 90. Gold can hit. After that you are on the paid table.
