Race: Guardian
Class: Ranger/Mage
If you are doing a Relic Search Quest, you will recognize the relic chests by their yellowish color. BEWARE! When you open one, a Giant Hero Guardian usually appears. They are giants armed with guns, and they will try to back off to Ranged Weapon distance and fire at you. Apart from their normal ranged attack, they also have a Chain Lightning attack that can knock you back if it hits, and will bounce between group members. They also generate a group of little floating Relics in two types: Pugilistic, which use melee attacks, and Thaumaturgic which use ranged attacks (similar to the Trophy Guardians of builds before 147). They can get in the way of your Ranged Attack. If you kill the big guy, don't relax because those little ones will still get you!
Recently (post build 147) , new Guardians have appeared, armed with melee weapons. The color of the weapon clues you in to the type of attack that the little floating guys will be using. The following have been spotted:
1) Red two-handed sword (fire)
2) blue/white two-handed hammer (ice)
3) Golden Kama (divine)
4) Green Axe (poison)
5) Purple Featherduster (shadow)
6) Claweye staff (?)
There are also mage guardians. The one that carries a Pixie Duster is especially notable!
We are awaiting more reports on the Build 147 changes.
