The Mutanous Malaise
| The Mutanous Malaise is recommended for levels 30 to 50. It is the seventh dungeon in the normal sequence, proceeding from Frump's Misfortune. It is accessible through The Mutanous Malaise Mezzanine. |
Dungeon Outline

Level 1
Dungeon Layout. Contains Ice Fades of various types and Divine Whiskers of various types.
Z'lash's Pad and Candy Vault are located off Level 1.
Z'Lash's Pad
Wasteland Layout. Contains Poison Grunt Moshers, Poison Mystic Moshers, and Shadow Mutants of various types.
Z'lash is the namesake Champion, but the area also includes at least two Heroes who are more powerful and drop more loot than Z'Lash.
Candy Vault
This is a single room containing the Keeper of the Candies, a giant floating candy Champion who will drop some small loot when killed. The room has numerous sacks that, when hit, release some aggressive candy mobs. Collecting the candy is the object of the Candy Run Quest given by the children Rose and, believe it or not, Dorcas. Note: Shadow Lightning has a chance of arcing to the sacks, opening them prematurely so you are fighting many candies at once.
Level 2
Dungeon Layout. Contains Divine Whiskers and Ice Fades of various types.
Level 3
Dungeon Layout. Contains Ice Fades and Divine Whiskers of various types. Many Champions and a Hero named MC Whammy Bar live here. Tipper Gourd gives a quest to kill them.
Dingbat Duhrill's Pad is located off Level 3.
Dingbat Duhrill's Pad
Forest Layout. Contains Shadow Mutants and Poison Moshers as well as Hood Rats. The Poison Mystic Moshers here seem particulary good at regeneration of Hit Points. There are a lot of Champions here, and someplace you will find Dingbat Duhrill.
Level 4
Dungeon Layout. Contains Divine Whiskers and Ice Fades of various types.
Deadie VimPalen's Pad and Candy Vault are located off Level 4.
Deadie VimPalen's Pad
Wasteland Layout. Contains Poison Oroks and Shadow Mutants of various types. Deadie VimPalen, the namesake Champion, is a huge barbarian with a big axe. This are also contains three Poison Runt Champions who drop stuff that is the object of a quest given by Tipper Gourd.
Candy Vault
Very similar to the one off Zlash's Pad on Level 1. However, here there are two Overthrown Keepers of the Candies who are behind grill doors until you begin killing Yummy Yums.
Level 5
Ransacked Library Layout. Contains Poison Oroks and Shadow Mutants of various sorts.
Daze Pustain's Pad is located off Level 5.
A portal here leads to The Embercore Portal.

Forest Layout. Contains Divine Oroks and Fire Fades of various sorts. Somewhere in the pad will be found the namesake Champion, Daze Pustain.
Level 6
Ransacked Library Layout. Contains Poison Oroks and Shadow Mutants of various sorts.
Level 7
Ransacked Library Layout. Contains Poison Oroks and Shadow Mutants of various sorts.
Toe-Tnee-Eye-Ow-My-Eye's Pad, J'aymz Fatfilled's Pad, Candy Vault and Room of Creation are located off Level 7
Toe-Tnee-Eye-Ow-My-Eye's Pad
Forest Layout. Contains Divine Oroks and Fire Fades of various sorts. The Fire Fade Widow is prevalent here.
Toe-Tnee-Eye-Ow-My-Eye is a huge Demi-Human champion who will be found here, usually with a group of Orok Juggernauts guarding him.
J'aymz Fatfilled's Pad
Wasteland Layout. Contains Contains Divine Oroks and Fire Fades of various sorts. Fade Champion Generals and Lichlords here are known as Crypt Kickers.
Candy Vault
Exactly the same as the one on Level 4.
Room of Creation
In the entrance room will be found a large number of Rotgut's Roadies and Rotgut's Groupies. Following down a long hallway in the final room are more of both of those plus Rotgut the Bloated. When Rotgut has been killed the treasure room opens. A one-way portal here leads to The Embercore Path.
This is a very popular Boss for mid-level farming. A concerted attack, especially by a Pyromancer, will dispatch him quickly.
