The Embercore Path

In-game text

Journal text, offer, and turn-in as they appeared in game.

Journal: Go forth, Dungeon Runner, to the Embercore Path! Then, return to the Townston Commander in Townston.

Offer:

Good to see you again, Dungeon Runner, we have use for you and your unique ability to run while in dungeons. You know, it wasn't long ago that the King's Board of Trustees tried to create a new type of adventurer; Dungeon Joggers. They were like Dungeon Runners, but with less hustle, and they were known for insisting on wearing jogging shorts and or sweat pants instead of armor. These Dungeon Joggers started strong, but ran into problems when a power struggle erupted and they fractured into two main groups: The Speed Walkers and the Mighty Skipping Power Rangers.

The split almost destroyed the Dungeon Joggers, but they were able to solve their differences and get back to work. However, once they finally made it into the dungeons they found that sweat pants and or jogging shorts don't stop sharp objects and or powerful magic, so they decided to stage a sit in to protest their non survivable working conditions. Unfortunately for them they decided on staging the protest in the Widow Maker's Lair. None of them have been seen since. At any rate, just a quick history lesson before we get to the matter at hand.

First I want you to visit The Embercore Portal, which leads into The Embercore Path. Then I want you to visit Level 1 of The Embercore Path, which leads back to The Embercore Portal. Of course it leads to other places, but I don't want you to bite off more than you can chew. Patience, Dungeon Runner, you will get your chance to delve deeper into The Embercore Path before long. Once you have been to The Embercore Portal and to Level 1 of The Embercore Path, return to me, the Townston Commander, here in Townston.
