Poison Mage
Ever wanted to be somewhat like Sissirat, where you can infest the enemy with decaying toxins? You might want to be a Poison Mage.

Build
Pure int getting endurance from gear.
Skills
Your skill list is going to mostly be poison skills with room for wards/resistances and your passives. Keep in mind that you will need a ranger weapon to use this build. A Vis'Kar's Bilespitter or Dhablu Tieff is a wise choice.
Use these skills:
![]()
Left Mouse Button: Poison Shot/Noxious Shot (Either one is a good primary attack)
Hotkey 1: Acidic Blight
Hotkey 2: Gaseous Blast or you can put Putrid Penetration here.
Hotkey 3: Monster Bait (You can replace this with Toxic Talent if you feel you're good at dodging/ have high enough HP).
Hotkey 4: Extra Crispy Monster Bait (Vital at keeping Yum Yums alive, especially during a boss battle!
If you skipped Monster Bait, put Spirit of the Hare/Teleport here.)
Hotkey 5: Elemental Resistance
Hotkey 7: Bookworm
Hotkey 8: Mental Prowess
Right Mouse Button: Putrid Penetration or Gaseous Blast
Do NOT use Couch Potato. Sure, you may have more intellect and more MP per point of intellect, but Strength is worthless to this build and the skill brings your HP down even further. Stick with Bookworm.
Equipment
Now for the gear... I'm only going to list possible RB choices, not every other purple/yellow item. These are just my personal favorites for this build: Experiment with your rainbows to find what's right for you!
Poison Mage Gear:
Death's Disdain (Shoulder pads)
Death's Grip (Gloves)
Death's Habit (Robe)
Death's Head (Helmet)
Death's Two Legs (Boots)
Honest-to-Goodness Duality of Man (Amulet)
The Most Amazing Ring Known to Goats (Some Assembly Acquired) [I'd use two of these.]
D'habl'u Ti'eff (Bow) (If you have trouble keeping your health up, this is a good choice.)
Vis'Kar's Bilespitter (Bow) (If you would rather maximize damage or feel your HP pool is strong enough, this is the bow of choice)
You are now well briefed on the way of the Poison Mage. I enjoy this build the most out of others and I do well with PKing when I have my Poison Mage.
Strategy
Some tips:
Keep moving! Your HP is limited by your passives, so don't let yourself become a punching bag!
Don't bother shooting unless it's an emergency! The reason you need a bow is so that you can use these attacks in the first place.
Team up with a Tank Warrior whenever possible. Use them as a meat shield and you will do very well.
This build is also good for pking! Just take out your Monster Bait/Extra Crispy Monster Bait and replace with Heal Self, not Other/Spontaneous Regeneration and you're good to go.
I hope you enjoy this build.
