Weapon descriptions only list speeds qualitatively, not quantitatively. Even the weapon tables on this Wiki just list verbal descriptions. How do I know the numerical speed rates required by all of the equations on this site? --Blaine 19:16, March 4, 2008 (CET)
- The best way is to just wield the item and check the character sheet, be sure to check without Way of the Roo or Trigger Happy in you bar, and without any % Attack Speed in your equipment to get the base speeds.
- I put something like "...from the character sheet" in just about every calculation example.
- The problem is that the actually speed may vary from weapon type to weapon type. A 1-handed slash type weapon, say a Katana listed ludicrous and another 1-handed slash, say a Dagger also listed at ludicrous may actually have different speeds! To catch them all EVERY weapon with a different icon would have to be checked just to be sure.
- I'm not saying it can't be done, but I built those weapon pages, by just screen capturing mostly store items and their item stats. You have to physically wield the item to get the attack speed number... I don't have that much gold
- The other problem is that I've seen the Devs change the speeds from patch to patch... so the process would have to be repeated and checked with every patch, because for minor things like that, they don't publish them in the patch notes.
