In game questions

Most questions can be answered by clicking on the NPC characters in Dew valley, where each new character starts, and reading what each one tells you, and following the initial quests. Some of the initial quests get you to look for and talk to the other NPCs that you will need as you progress in the game.

Where is?

  • I am in Dew Valley. How do I get to Townston? Right-click your mouse over the Obelisk and click on Townston.
  • Where is the skill trainer / the bank / the vendor? Follow the newbie quests given by the Dew valley NPCs. The quest instructions explain where all these are. Skill trainers stand around the Townston Obelisk, the bank is next to the King Coin vendors on the top of the hill, vendors are in Dew Valley, Townston and in various dungeons.
  • Where is dungeon NAME? See Dungeons

Money

  • How can I put money in the bank? You cannot. However you can put King Coins in the bank.
  • Can I transfer money to another player? No.
  • Can I transfer King's Coins to another player? No, like all Soulbound items they cannot be transferred.
  • Can I sell an item to another player? Not for gold, but you can Trade it for other items or for potions.

Group etiquette

There are many ways to operate your toon in a group, here are possible situations you may find.

  • Set your toon's group to open and wait for people to join while you are in a dungeon and "play it by ear"
  • When you are in a group (maybe) check who is the best character to open the chests to maximise the loot for everyone
  • As a group leader check everyone is Ok to reset the instance
  • As a group member do not be shy to say "WAIT" if you are not ready for a reset
  • Be careful when advertising your group on the world channel - spamming can get you ignored
  • When you find a shrine, call all the group members before activating it so all can benefit.
  • If you are about to go AFK (Away From Keyboard), please tell your fellow group members. Be reasonable too, if you need to go AFK for a long time, it is suggested to just leave the group, and make room for others. If you go AFK terms like BRB (Be Right Back) or AFK are used.

Other questions

  • Remove the chat window? As of Build 135, you cannot. You can make it narrow and change its opacity to reduce the distraction. You can also leave the market and world chats to avoid getting those messages.
  • Can I inspect another player's build? Yes, use one of the Character Viewing Sheets
  • Why is nobody talking to me? You may set yourself busy - type command "/notbusy". Or you may have spammed the chat channels and people have put you in their ignore lists. Or people may just not be very talkative right now.
