Shields

There are 3 sizes of shield in the game:

• small, round shiels which take up 4 spaces in the inventory
  • Spiked Doily
  • Padded Buckler
  • Scale Shield

• medium shields which take up 6 spaces in the inventory
  • Ghost Buckler
  • Crystal Shield
  • Plate Shield

• large, tower shields which take up 8 spaces in the inventory.

There are different types of shield in each category, and the %block chance for shield is generally inline with it's size - but not always so.

A shield takes the place of a second melee weapon and can't be used with a two-handed weapon or a ranged weapon.
