PvP Basics
Player vs Player (PvP) is the part of any multi player game where players can fight each other in special arenas. Currently Dungeon Runner players have a chance to earn Kings Coins under certain conditions for winning an arena PvP fight.
Each PvP fight can last up to 7 minutes but under certain exceptions may finish early.
Skunking
- If while playing a PvP game you reach 7 - 0 the game will automatically end due to the fact that who ever is losing will most probably not catch up in time to win or draw the game. This is classed as "skunking" your opponent. The winner will recieve a Player versus Player win and a decreased chance of receiving a Kings Coin compared to the game lasting the full 7 minutes.
- When, in a PvP game, the winner is ahead by up to 10 kills the game will automatically end. For example:
Player A has 11 kills, Player B has 2 kills. If Player A was to kill Player B again that would make it 12 kills to 2 kills then the game automatically ends.
Yellow Belly
- Yellow Belly is an effect taken upon a player when they leave a PvP game due to any cause such as surrendering, loss of connection or very occasionally a Syntax error causing the user to respawn back in Pwnston.
After a recent patch update yellow belly now means that the player becomes smaller than average and is yellow as if a fear effect has been put upon him, and he can no longer enter a PvP game for 5 minutes. If the player joins a group consisting of those without the yellow belly effect upon them the player may enter PvP again but will remain small with a decrease in health and maximum damage.
Magical Balancing
Upon entering a PvP area, all players involved are "magically" brought to level 101. This basically levels the playing field.
Equipment is also brought up to level 101 but uses the formula:
| PvP Equipment Level = |
| x 101 |
For example, if you were player level 46, and was a level 39 helmet:
| PvP Equipment Level = |
| x 101 | ||
| = |
| |||
| PvP Equipment Level = | 86 |
The helmet should behave as if it were level 86, despite displaying otherwise.
This theoretically levels the equipment playing field and forces the PvP'ers to keep their equipment up to date.
