PTS

PTS is the abbreviated designation for Public Test Server.

The Public Test Server is a game server, where players have the opportunity to preview and test the upcoming patch in a real game environment. Equipment, character inventories, bank intentories, characters are periodically copied from the live servers to the PTS, allowing players to test with their own equipment.

Typically, the Devs will enter the PTS to get feedback. Generally however, feedback and bugs are posted on the Offical Forum's PTS Discussion for the Devs to address and respond to.

It is possible for a patch to hit the PTS and go back to the Devs for rework, back up to QA and again to PTS for player testing before the patch 'goes live'.

Accessing PTS

Gaining access to the PTS is similar to installing Dungeon Runners a second time.

1. The setup is available from: The Dungeon Runners FTP Site
   
   
2. Download DungeonRunnersPTSSetup.exe
   
   
3. Once setup, run the PlayNC Launcher.
   
   
4. Under INSTALLED, there should be a DUNGEON RUNNERS (PTS) heading with a red dot next to it. This indicates that the PTS installation requires an update.
   
   
5. Click on DUNGEON RUNNERS (PTS), perform the updates and launch DUNGEON RUNNERS (PTS).
   
   
6. Login using the same information as the live servers.
