Banned Farmer
The Banned Farmers are engaged in the despicable practice of Golding Farms! They are turning their vegetables into gold and then selling it to Dungeon Runners through some underground grapevine for some strange currency. Since this practice must be stopped, a series of Ratsputin's Gulag Quests are aimed at destroying the Banned Farmers. They may be accompanied, or the farm may be guarded, by a group of Punkins.
Tip: The Banned Farmers are suckers for Monster Bait. Tossing a BBQ Turkey Leg near them will usually distract them and make them easy pickings for a ranged attack.
On levels 5-7 of Ratsputin's Gulag, the normal Banned Farmers are replaced by Banned Uber Farmers. The Banned Uber Farmer is a larger version who can also turn you to solid gold for 10 seconds - no movement, and hits chip off gold which can be picked up later. Uber Farmer farms are not yet golded. Finding a Banned Uber Farmer farm will typically spawn the Trusty Farmer Posse - if you let them attack first, you're less likely to be hit with the turn to gold attack. Upon death, the Uber Farmer will also spawn Macrobiotic Punkins.
