Description
You can find these items by defeating enemies, purchasing them from merchants in Townston and Dew Valley or from chests in dungeons. Weapons and armor found from defeating monsters or from chests are usually referred to as Loot. Items have six different rankings and the higher the ranking the better the loot. There is a seventh ranking which is for quest items and kings coins. Many Rare (Yellow) and Unique (Purple), and most Mythic (Rainbow) items are marked as Member only. To find out more about Members please visit Members. Loot in Dungeon Runners is one of the most important things - people often Farm monsters to get good items like Purples. Rarely, a lucky farmer finds a Mythic item, which "mythically" glows in rainbow colors at the item name.

You can use the GENERAL control panel to set the minimum type of item that will be displayed when you press the Alt button. For example, if you set Magic (Blue) as your minimum, only Blue items and up (Yellow, Purple, Rainbow) will be visible when you press the Alt button. Other items (Grey and Green) will not have their name appear when the Alt button is pressed, but you can still view their name and pick them up by manually hovering the mouse over the item.
Soulbound
Soulbound is the term in Dungeon Runners which means that items can only be used by the person that owns them. Quest items and Kings Coins are soulbound. Some items have the text Soulbound in 10 minutes in their description. This means that for the first 10 minutes the items are worn they can be traded to other players, but after this time they are soulbound. Items recieved from Sam's Dungeon Wholesale and from the Token Masters are soulbound immediately upon purchase.
Note: Unlike some other games, this Soulbound timer only decreases when the item is worn. It does not decrease while the item is in your inventory, in the bank, or even dropped on the ground.
Name Descriptions
While the names of items (especially weapons and armor) may seem arbitrary, there is a recognizable system with which items are named.
An example is the apparent system in which animal names are used to denote primary attribute modifiers. For instance, fighter armor with the animal description 'Beetle' in the name always has one primary attribute modifier, and it is always Endurance. Fighter armor with other descriptions (i.e. 'Panda', 'Liger') have varying primary attribute modifiers; however, a system can be seen in which all 'Panda' armor has a consistent number and type of primary attribute modifier.
Recognizing the system relative to a player's particular class and style of play can be extremely helpful. Using the above example, a fighter that wishes to tank can seek out 'Crystal' 'Beetle' armor, since this armor consistently has a high defense rating and an Endurance bonus.
