Frequently Asked Questions about The Townstons Wiki

These are questions and answers about TheTownstons Dungeon Runners wiki. For questions related to the game itself see the Guides section of the wiki (see left navigation bar).

Q:---Who owns this site?

A:---Legend Runner is the boss of this wiki. The Crew, or Moderators, assist him.

Q:---Is this an "official" site?

A:---This site has no connection with NC Soft or any approval from DungeonRunner.com. We try to get along with them.

Q:---Don't you have a lot of nerve, setting yourselves up as "experts"??

A:---No, it is all of YOU who are the experts. Contribute!

Q:---Who posts to this wiki??

A:---Anybody who wants to, and becomes a registered user.

Q:---So, can I post something?

A:---Sure. There are some things to think about though. First, what you say can be mercilessly edited by anybody else. Second, the mods may remove it entirely if they don't think it is appropriate. As long as you can stand that, go right ahead! Your contributions are truly needed!

Q:---What can I post?

A:---Check the Dungeons pages. Update them with your experience. Check the Builds page and add your build. Collect Rainbow Items and post the information. Post interesting screen shots. Think of other stuff we need on here, and add it! A wiki is only what the users make of it.

Q:---How do I code wiki information?

A:---It is very simple and the few short codes are easy to learn. Here is Help. If you don't want to do the coding, post in plain text. One of the Mods might add the frills to it.

Q:---Wow, can I really change what somebody else has posted?

A:---Yep. And the next guy can change what you have posted! Eventually, it gets posted in a way that everybody agrees on, and people leave it alone for a while. That's what a wiki is all about.

Q:---How many people read this wiki?

A:---More and more. We have hundreds of registered users. Some pages have had thousands of hits.

Q:---Can I be a Moderator?

A:---If Legend Runner decides you can. Post lots of good information, and be cooperative, and pretty soon it may happen. It involves little power and lots of work!

Q:---Where is the community for this wiki?

A:---The Crew Page lists the founder and some active users, while the Forums are bulletin boards (only usable by registered members).
